Reanimation 1.0 is the first in a series of mixed-media art installations that looks to combine physical sculpture with augmented reality. In this series, we are testing various methods for creating mixed-media art to hone our skills in this growing field.  For the first application, we created a faux tree stump from reclaimed barn wood, epoxy resin, LED lighting, and of course, glitter. The AR "reanimates" the dead tree and shows the life it contains beneath the surface to facilitate biological resiliance.
