The High Road is an active construction program aimed at researching and testing building solutions in extreme conditions. The project site is located on a remote mountain top at 12,500' elevation with consistent snow, hail, lightning, wind gusts above 70 mph, rock slides, and -35°F temperatures. By studying different modular building systems and alternative logistics, we are creating a compendium of how to build in a challenging environment.
